Reserving a boat shouldn't be this hard, right?
I was looking for a boat for the summer. No prices. No availability. No idea if the company was even still active.
My starting point was a practical frustration: there was simply no central overview of things you can rent. From that frustration came the bigger questions.
Why do we buy things we only use once?
Why isn't there a platform that makes renting as natural as buying?
And more importantly: why has this never been properly solved?
Those questions led me to the core: it's not about yet another rental website. It's about a system where everything, supply, availability, bookings, payments, comes together logically.
That's why I'm building Renttoo.
What's in the name Renttoo?
The name has multiple layers. At its core is 'Rent too', you can rent out too. It's an invitation: renting out isn't just for companies, anyone can participate. At the same time, you read 'Rent to' in it, rent to. Direct and clear. And the double o's form an infinity sign (∞) in our logo, representing the endless possibilities when people share their belongings with each other. The name works in both English and Dutch, just like the platform itself: accessible and open to everyone.
