Renttoo Deposit-Free

What if there's damage? That's where Renttoo Deposit-Free comes in.

Most insurance policies don't fully cover rental and lending. As an owner, that leaves you relying on a deposit, and deposits scare renters away. With Renttoo, every booking includes damage insurance, so no deposit is needed.

No deposit needed

What sits inside every single booking

No separate policy, no small print and no deposit to put renters off. This is the cover that runs along with every booking on Renttoo, arranged once so you never have to arrange it again.

How it works

From the first booking to payout: the entire process runs through the platform and our insurance partner.

  1. Everyone verified

ID check via Stripe Identity (passport + selfie) before the first booking. So you know who's renting.

  2. Insured on every booking

A small premium is automatically included in the renter's checkout. Damage, loss and theft covered. No separate policy, no opt-out.

  3. Report damage

Something broken or not returned? Describe the damage, upload photos and evidence. We forward the claim straight to our insurance partner.

  4. Fast payout

Our insurance partner assesses within 2 business days and pays you directly, based on market value, up to €2500.

Frequently asked questions

The questions owners and renters ask us most about the cover, answered in full.

Who pays the insurance premium?

The renter pays a small premium automatically as part of checkout. You as the owner don't pay anything for this coverage.

What's the maximum payout?

Up to €2500 per claim, based on the market value of the item at the time of damage. Items worth more than €2500 can be additionally insured by owners through their own policy.

How long does the claim process take?

Our insurance partner assesses every claim within 2 business days of receiving the report and evidence. On approval, the amount is paid directly to you.

What happens with theft?

Theft is part of the standard coverage. Always file a police report and upload it together with your claim. The insurance partner handles the rest.

How is market value determined?

The insurance partner looks at the item's current market value, factoring in age, condition and comparable listings. Receipts and invoice copies help support the value.

Do I still need my own insurance?

For items up to €2500 in market value no separate policy is needed. For higher-value items you can take out additional insurance yourself or adjust the product pricing.
